Residential Survey and Valuation
We provide residential surveys in York, Harrogate, Selby, Goole, Driffield, Market Weighton, Hull, Scarborough, Bridlington, Ripon, Thirsk, Easingwold, Pickering, Malton, Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside and more.
There are three main types of survey and valuation. We can carry out any of these:
- Residential Valuation
- RICS Home buyer Survey. From 1April 2010, the RICS required Chartered Surveyors to undertake a new Home Buyers Report format. David Rawlins has undertaken the necessary additional training to produce such reports.
- Building Survey. David Rawlins specialises in Listed and other Period Houses, but also undertake inspections of more modern buildings.

Building Conservation. The diagnosis of defects and the repair of old buildings is a different skill from that of modern buildings. It is important to adopt an approach which works with the structure of the buildings and recognises the advantages of traditional forms of building. For example, the installation of a damp proof course is very often not necessary, and soft mortar pointing which gives the building its character may very well not need renewing. Its softness and flexibility is often its strength.
