David has been undertaking Residential Surveys & Valuations on all types of dwellings for over 30 years. In addition to Residential Building Surveys, RICS Home Buyers Reports and Valuations, David Rawlins specialises on Surveys of Listed Buildings and other period properties. He is also able to offer advice on traditional building and repair techniques used by our ancestors, but with 21st Century knowledge. We are therefore pleased to provide reports and advice on matters such as Damp issues, windows etc and the impact that modern materials can have on period buildings. We have acted as Consultants to the Conservation Departments of some Local Authorities.

David is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (www.ihbc.org.uk) and a member of the SPAB (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings – www.spab.org.uk), The Yorkshire Buildings Vernacular Study Group  (www.yvbsg.org.uk), the National Trust, and the RICS Building Conservation Forum, and has a Diploma in Building Conservation (RICS). He also hold the City & Guilds 7277 Crime Prevention (Unit 3.1) Certificate – Domestic Security Surveys and is accredited to undertake Energy (SAP) Reports through Elmhurst. As Consultants to
